CPEA / CPSA Retirement Designation

Diplomates, unless involved in a BGC ethics case, have two options for intentionally giving up their BGC credential: Retirement or Voluntary Surrender.

  1. Retirement status is available after one Credential Maintenance (CM) cycle in good standing and provides professional benefits and discounts for either a $35 annual fee or a single, $350 lifetime fee.  Holders of the
CPEA and CPSA who have been practicing at least 5 years are eligible.
  2. Voluntary surrender is available to currently-certified diplomates before their credential expires.

Designed for CPEA or CPSA practitioners at the end of their careers, a retirement designation cannot be used in place of an active BGC credential for work.

However, retirement status will provide an opportunity for ongoing engagement with the professional community, and will publicly acknowledge the important contribution of a practitioner in the protection of people and the environment.

If you are interested in updating your status, please contact us at info@GoBGC.org.
